Texted an old friend to catch up as it’d been ages and I’ve been snowed under with uni work.
I feel quite bad generally that I haven’t been able to see people as much as I want nor been able to keep in contact as much.
Until…they texted back “I have a girlfriend now, sorry”
Urm what? I texted you to catch up. I asked how your mum was holding up, how your course had gone at the end, if you had your uni results etc and you only text that back. I’m actually pretty upset by this, it basically reeks of ‘I only wanted to know you as a girl whom I was interested in, now I have a girlfriend I have no need for you’. And y’know that’s not so nice, I saw you as a friend. Or it also basically says to me, ‘I have a girlfriend now so stop sniffing around’, which I am most definitely not doing, I am very happy as I am and I didn’t think of you as anything more than a friend. Now I see we’re not even that…

All I seem to do at the moment is be grumpy, tired or stupidly excited. Uni deadlines are pure evil!

Deadlines create a whirlwind of emotions, so let’s try combat this by at least feeling I look good on the outside no matter how much I’m stressing and being over dramatic on the inside haha!

When I was about 12/13, my Uncle at the time had to hold me in a theme park ride which went upside down as the harnesses didn’t hold me in properly because I was so skinny yet tall.
‘Wish you were here’ by Incubus takes me right back to the beach in Honduras where myself and some friends joined a scientific conservation team thing back in 6th form. I can smell the air, hear the waves, it’s the dead of night and it’s the most tranquil place ever. It sounds ridiculously romantic, and almost like a fantasy but whilst I laid there alone in the middle of the night on the beach, I watched shooting stars and pushed my toes deep into the sand. The memory makes me so happy I could cry, It’s such a powerful memory, I was so truely happy in that moment.
